Amrita Das is the photo editor for RoundGlass Sustain, a digital publication which documents India’s wildlife and natural history. As an independent travel and culture journalist, she has written for many international and national publications. These include Indian Express, National Geographic Traveller India, Forbes India, The Hindu, Deccan Herald, New Indian Express, Travel+Leisure India South Asia, Mint and Lonely Planet India, amongst others.

Her first author byline appeared in Heirloom Cities’ Kolkata book in 2026. The chapter traces the nightlife of Kolkata through its colonial past. She is currently working on her first photo book.

She was a fellow of the Media Ambassadors India-Germany programme in 2019 during which she worked with Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich.

Her areas of expertise range from visual storytelling and curation, data visualisation to writing on culture and conservation.
