Petra Sorge

Petra Sorge is Energy Transition Reporter at Bloomberg LP and based in Berlin.

Before her position at Bloomberg, she worked as German-language energy and politics correspondent at Dow Jones News where she contributed to The Wall Street Journal. Between 2016 and 2019 she was a freelance reporter and worked for publications like Der Spiegel, Die Zeit or WirtschaftsWoche.

She engaged in several cross-border investigations, for example on poisonous lead-acid battery recycling or child labour. Her publications won several awards, such as a First and Second Prize in the Fetisov Journalism Awards, the Hostwriter Prize or the German-language Ernst-Schneider-Preis and Deutscher Journalistenpreis. In 2016 she spent three months in India with the Robert Bosch Foundation's program "Media Ambassador India-Germany".

She is Cash Auditor of the Indo-German Media Network since 2018 and member of Netzwerk Recherche.
